Ridipta Welfare Foundation Launches Project KHEL for Government School Children

Ridipta Welfare Foundation launched Project KHEL with the objective of promoting outdoor activities and supporting the physical, mental and social development of children studying in government schools. The initiative was started after recognising that many government schools have limited playground facilities, which can restrict opportunities for children to participate in sports and recreational activities. Under Project KHEL, small and creative playgrounds are developed using reusable materials such as old tyres, drums, ropes and other suitable resources. These materials are transformed into simple play equipment to create engaging spaces for children while also encouraging the productive reuse of available resources. The programme was initiated at a government school in Mansarovar, Jaipur, where the Foundation worked to develop a play area for students. Foundation founder Engineer Amit Tiwari, Dr. Archana Sharma, Shivam Sharma, Akshay Gurjar and other volunteers participated in the initiative. Through Project KHEL, Ridipta Welfare Foundation aims to extend similar playground facilities to more government schools so that children can receive better opportunities for outdoor activity, recreation and overall development.
